Natural causes
When a person dies in their 90's
It's of natural causes
We brush it off by saying "At least they lived a long and happy life"
Really about 100 years of suffering before one gets to meet one's maker
100 years of being screwed around with others
100 years of doing work that in underappreciated
100 years of dealing with stupid social habits
100 years of pleasing others
100 years of living off paycheck to paycheck
Natural causes
Nature's nature is by default a cruel bastard
The food chain that all life must adhere to is cruel
Almost every creature in the food chain gets killed by another
Ha! Natural causes
100 years of suffering then you Rest In Peace
and what's worse
This is perfectly normal for others
It's of natural causes

I like this very much. Someone is always telling us how great our lives are and how valuable we are, but they are the same people who have a vested interest in us getting up and going to work for them; in filling their armies to fight their wars; in making money from us as we consume things we do not need. Along the way people suffer. We could build heaven, but we opt to build hell. Very nice poem: it hits the nail on the head.

This is entirely to the point and so honest. I can appreciate that quality in anything, most especially a piece of writing. I think that it's brilliantly executed, that constant outcry of the people, about the injustices (the truths) of humanity and society as a whole. I think I've been looking for something like this for a while.Wonderful work.
