"When You See These Things, KNOW That It Is Near, At the Very Gates"(Matthew 24.33)

People always quote Matthew 24.36,
"No man can know, not even the Son [of God],
The hour or the day"  of the "Sudden Destruction"
Which occurs on the day of the RAPTURE(1 Thessalonians 4.16-5.3).

But here in verse 33, the message is completely the OPPOSITE !
It says we ARE to "know,"
Yes, we are to "KNOW" the time of the event!
"When you see all these things [occur],
KNOW it is near, at the very doors,"(Matthew 24.33)
(the day of Sudden Destruction,
Which is also the day of the RAPTURE) (1 Thessalonians 4.16-5.3).

One verse says we CAN'T know,
The other verse says we ARE to know!
How can we reconcile these two opposites?

There are two separate periods:
(1)The period up until "these things happen" and
((2)The period AFTER "these things happen."

BEFORE "these things happen,"
That's when "no man can know..the day or the hour."
But AFTER "these things happen,"
That's when the words, "no man can know..."
is no longer in effect, it's OBSOLETE.

But just what are the things meant by "these things"
In the phrase, "when you see all these things"(Mt 24.33) ?

Two gospels say, "When you see ALL these things
KNOW it is near, at the doors"(Mt 24.33; Mark 13.29).
While Luke 21.28 puts it differently,
"When these things BEGIN to take place,
Stand up, raise your heads, because
your redemption is drawing near."

But to be fair,Luke 21 does join the other two gospels
In saying, 3 verses later, "When you see these things taking place
You KNOW the kingdom of God is near"(Luke 21.31).

But the question remains,
What does "these things" refer to?
Luke 21 is the most clear version.
There is one set of events that all
take place within "this generation"(Luke 21.32).
"This generation" refers to the time between,
30 AD when the Crucifixion took place,
And 70 AD,the time of the fulfilling of
the destruction of the Jerusalem temple,
Which was the event that Christ had predicted.
Then the disciples asked Him about it,
"When will this be?"(Luke 21.7).
(Along with the temple's destruction,
There is the destruction of the nation
In the Roman-Jewish War of 66-70/73 AD,
Resulting in the wiping-out of the Jews.
Those that survived were sold as slaves,
Carried off into exile in distant lands(Luke 21.20-24).

But then there is a completely new, different generation.
It starts with the return (restoration) of the Jewish nation,
And it ends with the Return of Christ,
"the Son of Man coming..with great glory"(Luke 21.27).

What we have here is a "Palindrome",
which is a word in which the letters
in the first half of the word
show up in the last half of the word,
But in reverse order.
For example, suppose abba were a word.
The second half is a mirror image of the first half.

The two generations that Christ put back to back are like that.
Christ is followed by Israel,
Then the reverse is true: Israel is followed by Christ.
Christ,Israel, Israel, Christ.
For,(the death of) Christ is followed by (the destruction of) Israel.
Then (the return of) Israel is followed by (the Return of) Christ.

It's Christ,Israel,Israel,Christ.
(Those parentheses are indispensable.)
Another way to put it -
Death,death return,Return.

PS:My point was that we are now in the period
in which "these things" have begun.
And so we can no longer claim we can't know anything
("no man..can know..the hour or the day").
We are to go with the other verse,
"KNOW that it is near, at the very doors"(Mt 24.33).
"It" here refers both to the good and the bad.
The bad is the "sudden destruction"
But the good is that in the midst of destruction,
Saved souls are being escorted to heaven by the angels,
Yes, the Rapture is occurring, Amen!
