Just for You
I can't wait for the day
when I can't remember how it feels
to be head over heels
and willing to go out of my way
to bring you any amount of joy
I was way in over my head
all of my own thoughts left unsaid
until there was nothing left to enjoy
I spent so much effort and time
trying to help you through life's troubles
that I was unable to climb
out of the deep hole I'd fallen into
So no matter what happens now
You cannot rely on me to get through
because I'm not willing to lose myself
just to save you
