Entombed
Four walls and a roof
Entombed
With a floor, all made of wood
Entombed
As airtight as the ocean
Entombed
As uncomfortable as a slat bed
Entombed
Like a chest that sits at the end of your bed
Entombed
But fit for a person
Entombed
Buried deep down underground
Entombed
So they can’t smell the decomposing
Entombed
Or in a ferocious oven burnt
Engulfed
And carefully transferred into an urn
Entombed
Or ashes scattered on the lawn
Released
Or in the ocean
Released
Or keep them on your mantelpiece
Entombed
And prey they will not haunt you
Conclude
Let the dead rest in peace
Entombed, or engulfed and one day released
But please will someone bury me
Entombed
No ornament do I wish to be
Entombed
Bury me deep down 6 feet
Entombed
So I don’t stink out the cemetery
