listin to songs about love
hear people say it every day
almost as if by habbit

but i am talking about real love
the kind that you had once upon a time
when life and people were less complicated
and hearts longed for a soulmate

you marry have kids carry on
but never forget that love
possibly keep a picture in a private place
and every now and again when you find yourself wanting
you look at the picture of an angel you once new
shared the pleasures of love with
spent quality time in each others arms
parting was always such sweet sorrow
as you touched the face on the picture
tears came and your heart once more wept for that soulmate
or course you love your wife and kids
but this lost love was truly a differant experiance

i wonder how many of us are lucky enough
to have loved and lost this precious gift
and also this dagger to the heart
forever to remain trapped in a place anf time long long ago
