Dysfunctional

I know I am to old
to care, but give an
option I'd like to be there

surely you've noticed,
you weren't there to
raise us kids
alone all the time
wolves would have done better

we weren't up to your standards
which is pretty funny
because your standards only
reflect a certain amount of
money the price of beer

I looked up to the crowds
and what did I find people
to teach me how to steel cars
and end up in jail

I'm sure your schedule was
pressing appointments to keep
yes money is a blessing
but to me a mother was a
very big deal

my pain was real just my sister
and I and with what we had we
got managed to get by

but now I am a grown three kids
of my own and I wont ever screw
up my girls the way you screwed
up me

good-bye sweet dysfunction you
served me in my youth
your place here is lost
and with it your use

( I have another user name Firefox80 can't get into it so putting my poems here)
