insomnia (definitely a work in progress)
a summer wind blows
against my window
a restless breeze
shaking at my dreams
a sleepy moon
filling up the room
with a silver glow
like it knows what i don't know
the midnight air
doesn't seem to have a care
while my overactive brain
begs for sleep again
a weepy willow tree
swaying so serene
acting like it can't see
there's something troubling me
but i wish i knew
what this was, and what to do
to finally find relief
and slip off into sleep.
