Thankyou for calling Vee No ,,this is a list free of personal comment.i want people to (perhaps) find these six free of any opinions ;however i can say the greatest influence for me is John Clare, a poor Northamptonshire labourer self ttaught who died in a mental hospital in Northampton whose home in Helpston is now the head quarters of the John Clare Society of which I am a member.The cottage is built of cob,  has a thatched roof and wide eaves to keep the rain.off the walls.   .Duffy  . . . . .  the most 'modern 'of the six,; 'modern' in as much as  she writes today ,of today   Psalms of David . . . . . . onwhich I was raised and chanted in Church as part of the Anglican Services .The Anglican chant, a perfect marriage of poetry and music second only to Gregorian chant and plainsong.   These six write as the blackbird sings . . . .because they cannot help it. We can all learn from them and many others. humility is the key.
