I Will Listen If You Talk

I am not sure if this is the last time I cry for you
You comfort me and set me at unease
Uncertain of your own whereabouts
Accusing me of the things you do
Placing the blame
Of the strain
On your insecurity
When all I ask is something far simpler:
Talk to me.

Instead you go rushing to the jugular
And rushing out the door
With no destination in site
Until you have cooled off
And come back with your kitten smile
Purrsueding my feelings
Sometimes reluctantly
Back into your arms
And we smile one more night to sleep
