The Ēxodus of Silk (Love's Desire to Feel....)
She
often speaks
to the tapestry
of life's elegance
and the infamy,
the happiness
the sadness
the angst.....the tears
….holding back the years
effectually wrapping herself
inside a cocoon
woven of the
purest oriental silk,
golden nap
safely trapped, put away
from a treacherous present,
a bitter past
...oh the days gone by
trust not the dark and light,
blended into gray
there must be a way
to free your choux pastry heart
so that you live again
if I might
unsheathe my stiletto
it's sharpened tip piercing
your silken walls
opening your finely wrapped skin
...will you let me in ?
To lay your resurrected soul
upon the cooling board
can you let flow
the tainted blood
from a distant past,
mingle it with my own......
…..allow yourself to live and feel again at last
ceremoniously,
I cast my blade inside
your sweet, flowing nectar,
your pleasure,
your kiss of life
truth serum evolving
stirring an intimate
moment of bliss,
held safely inside
awaiting a kiss
from lover's lips
heart light thrust deeply,
wings gently spread
mouth open wide......
….at it's most primal juncture
allow this man's fare inside
the gates of paradise
can we gently flow
and traverse this
river of sighs.......you and I?
Needing not wait for death,
nor after life
to live,
to love.....again
Sun don't shine
The moon don't move the tides
To wash me clean
Why so unforgiving and why so cold
Been a long time crossing
Bridge of Sighs.....Robin Trower
