Lost & Found
Are you mad?
He asked
I nodded
Maybe a little
And if I was
Would I really know?
Could it matter at all?
What difference might it make?
Not being the first nor last
To find a future in my past
Da da da
Da da da
Did I find that tune?
Or did it find me?
Those lovely little ponderings
I splash in like a child
Remembering simple joys
My mind wandering all the while
Down meandering garden paths
Lined with lawns and roses
Green and red, soft and sharp
The petals fall without a sound
Just like my silent smile
Each day we play and touch the earth
Amidst the shadows and the sun
One minute lost
Only to be found
He asked
I nodded
Maybe a little
And if I was
Would I really know?
Could it matter at all?
What difference might it make?
Not being the first nor last
To find a future in my past
Da da da
Da da da
Did I find that tune?
Or did it find me?
Those lovely little ponderings
I splash in like a child
Remembering simple joys
My mind wandering all the while
Down meandering garden paths
Lined with lawns and roses
Green and red, soft and sharp
The petals fall without a sound
Just like my silent smile
Each day we play and touch the earth
Amidst the shadows and the sun
One minute lost
Only to be found
