- - - THE DREAD - - -
Those days have long since gone
The end of the same old song
Know that I no longer care
Empty like seats cold and bare
I can feel it in my bones
Another chapter ends
Creaking from a broken hinge
Deep into the lonely night
When the carrion take flight
To feast at the graveyard ridge
I have never felt more alone
Safe and sound in my humble home
The dread keeps me awake
Love seems like a stranger, so true
Even when I'm thinking of you
The dread keeps me awake
Tired and sick of everything
Everyone and whatnot
Please, just let me be
Either here or the grave
I hear funeral bells
Against skies that seem so pale
I am a victim of pain
When there's nothing left to take
Alone, useless in this Hell
I have never felt more alone
Safe and sound in my humble home
The dread keeps me awake
Love seems like a stranger, so true
Even when I'm thinking of you
The dread keeps me awake
