She Became The Moon

The love of my life
Became the moon
She is far away from me
Where the stars are strewn

She'll always be above me-
Her beauty is unobtainable
I could reach for her forever
If only my arms were able

But even then, I know
Arms and hands could never touch her
She's too extraordinary
I only have memories of what we once were

I have to settle for gazing
When the nights are cloudlessly clear
I'll have to settle for sleepless nights
Wishing she were here
