lost in translation

I call out for you but you choose not to hear me
I reach out for you but you choose to pull away
I try to look into your eyes but you choose to turn your head.
Misspoken words fall deep into the soul, what should have could have is already gone.
I lost the moment where you once loved me.
I lost the moment where you said you needed us to be.

What did I do to get us here? Is it all lost in the air?
A moment of silence please do not weep. I'm here right where you sleep.
Can you not see me through the pain? Can you not hear me calling out your name?
All to sudden the moments past, one drink in a single glass.
The lights were bright but I turned away, I reached for you because I wanted to stay.

In you arms is the only place I have known to ever really feel like home.
Why is it now you choose to leave me here alone, frightened and in dis pare.
Will you ever hold me again?
Will we ever be one within?
Why is it getting so dark?
Why is it I do not hurt?
My eyes start to focus as I look around all these people gathered about,
limp cold there I lay my lifeless body in the street.

memories start coming to me, the misspoken words we both said.
The sound of disappointment ringing in my head.
You told me you were sorry, as the tears just fell, you looked at me all I could do was yell.
In the moment it was too late, I guess this is all just part of fate.
Broken glass flew all around, crunching metal what a sound.
If only we hadn't fought, if only for a moment we had stopped.
We never would have missed the light, yellow to red, I wouldn't be laying here dead tonight.
