Beautiful Monster
She used to be the sweetest woman you’d ever meet
Her beauty lied inwardly way beyond what eyes could see
And no matter what came her way she never ever changed
Though pretty much all her life all she’d known was pain
Her depiction of love is what had kept her in the light
So as time went on and years went by she held on to it tight
But one day a heartbreak unbearable as ever
Crept upon her like a thief her grip on love it severed
She tried to reattach herself but the wound had formed clots
The blood had seeped on the floor so long that it began to rot
What once was so beautiful overtime had transformed
The firmness of her core suddenly had become worn
She no longer greeted people with the same welcoming touch
The stares they gave once she lost love became oh way too much
So instead she hid from sight, lived in darkness became cold
She hated what she’d become no longer valued as gold
Being vile is so not of her she feels like such an imposter
What once was gracious to know had now became a monster
