Empty Vessel
"A man should be punished for his own sins and not for Adam's transgressions."
Lying awake
In the abyss of darkness
With brimstone scorched edges,
Condemned to this hell of silence,
Bones twisting and dancing across the walls;
Shadows formed in servitude
To the fiery desires
Of Lucifer's forked tongue
And tear stained ashen face,
Plagued with visions
That the demon
Shall possess the heart
And the children
Of the Goddess;
A house forever tormented
By an empty vessel,
Spilling with hate,
Pain dripping from the cracks
As he splinters their worlds,
The air burning around them
Until the only one left standing
Is the one that prefers
To crawl on his belly.
Be wary
Lest you mistake chains
For priceless jewelry.
His cup runneth o'er;
Milk and honey
In his veins,
While the saints of Zion
Starve under his famine,
Praying in their closets,
Pleading to the Goddess
To rise up in her glory
And cast the incubus
Into the enduring pit,
Reining in
A thousand years of peace
And the sweet release
Of eternal salvation.
Yours is the power
And the glory
Forever and ever
Amen and amen.
