I dream of dark caverns and bleeding hollows
And whispered secrets in infinite sorrow
Bitter words and philistines who refuse the song
For jagged tears along fluttered parchment
With scribbled words of madness and laments
Faustian faces and done deals with devils
Spitting brimstone and thumping their bibles
Those Bathory bitches and wicked witches
Pulling heartstrings and severing stitches
And in the gloom, her still body approved
Of silver tongue poets when the deed is due
I dream of blue skies and an easy path
But I would rather have the darkness over that
