Every Friday, I take a bath.
A ritual bath.
Friday is ruled by Venus.
So I bathe in her name upon that day.

I cast a circle.
Call the Quarters.
Run the bath water.
Pour my herbs, oils, and salts in.

Light six red candles on a seashell.
1)Eros
2)Philia
3)Ludus
4)Agape
5)Pragma
6)Philantia

I place my Venus statue on the tub corner.
Light three candles.
1) Love
2) Beauty
3) Fertility

I sing my invocation song of love for the goddess:
"Aphrodite Freya Hathor Venus Ishtar
I will hear you song from afar
I wanna be as beautiful as you are
Teach me your loving ways like the stars"

For several minutes, I sing this song.
I sing and I sing until I fall to meditation.

As I lay calm and collected in the bath,
I stare into the water.
Reminded how Aphrodite was born.

"Just as Aphrodite rose from the foam,
I shall rise, and my beauty will be shown."

I submerge beneath the water.
With what breath I have,
I say the names of Venus.
Release all my breath
Until I am urged to go back to the surface
To inhale the oxygen I need.

"In the name of Venus and all her attributes,
I have risen.
I shall learn Love, Beauty, and Fertility.
In the name of Venus, I am born."

From the chalice, I drink my wine.
"Through Venus, I am born.
Through Venus, I am beautiful.
Through Venus, I will learn and teach love."

I sing to Venus once more.
I thank her for joining me in my ritual.
I close my circle.
