What do you get
For the man or woman
Who has everything
The first thing that comes to mind
Is absolutely nothing
If they already have everything
Then they have no needs
They clearly have no wants
If they have everything
How did they get everything?
How much of a selfish bastard
Must they have been in order
to have amassed everything
When so many have nothing
If they have everything
Clearly, they haven’t been giving
Certainly not giving enough
What do you get

A guilt trip and
Social consciousness

And how does one do that? Simple! Write them a poem from your heart about greed and love and about where poems come from... then give it to them and say, "now you can die because you finally truly have EVERYTHING!" They just needed the icing on the cake that you have clearly provided!

its interesting how I viewed your words differently to the others...
when i started to read them i could relate...i don't need anything because i'm happy with what i have....i have no burning desire to be given anything, to buy anything...hence when birthdays etc come around i say i want nothing...yet i'm happy to give...and i have a social conscience well instilled within me...and i follow it....
but i love your words David...and they are relevant to so many in our world....i mean how many yachts, diamonds (and who would want them) etc can you have...in the long run it doesn't make you happy....
