Reprieve
I saw the box
I could see that it was open
I carefully looked inside the box
The box was empty of content
Nothing but empty square space
Next to the box was a note
It simply said;
‘apparently this one was not for you
Or maybe somebody just beat you to it
Worry not we will meet soon enough and
I will fuck you up for no reason at all
Love – Pandora’

Well, you know what they say, "Hell hath no furry like a woman scorned!" but as long as you can think outside the box, leave the lid closed...

I really like how you approached this ancient topic in such a refreshing way. I have a real affinity for boxes, I collected them at one point. I find it fascinating that they are decorated but their real use is the inside emptiness that nobody speaks of--I relate somehow and this write really spoke to me on a few different levels. tell me hope is still in there...?
thanks for the read, David.

hope is always there, but sometimes it is very difficult to spot and we have to search for it.
thank you for reading and giving such positive comments - (always good to get)
