- stray cat
- there is serenity in the cool morning air
as it rains misty and slanted;
while the bird's go about their business
and the morning dove hoots in the distance
- swinging eye's search towards the bamboo
and over the sumac for the cardinal that's
whistling good morning; but he's too clever
he can't be seen
- from the porch a hanging basket blooming
with purple and yellow and red; vibrant
colors that catch the busy hummingbirds
attention at least for a split second
- a stray cat lurks for it's breakfast in the tall
grass; dark brown in color with lazy sleepy
eye's; it saunters by the old abandoned
house; the bird's get quite as death
as it rains misty and slanted;
while the bird's go about their business
and the morning dove hoots in the distance
- swinging eye's search towards the bamboo
and over the sumac for the cardinal that's
whistling good morning; but he's too clever
he can't be seen
- from the porch a hanging basket blooming
with purple and yellow and red; vibrant
colors that catch the busy hummingbirds
attention at least for a split second
- a stray cat lurks for it's breakfast in the tall
grass; dark brown in color with lazy sleepy
eye's; it saunters by the old abandoned
house; the bird's get quite as death
