Iron Persona

She severed my voice
From her ears.
I feared solitude again.

To hide my ugliness
I donned a rusty mask,
And cast a shadow
On the lighter self
To expose my darkness.

Who wants to explore
The murky cellars of my heart?

I found her dark morals more sensual
And accepting than
the brood of day

And, though. there is
Distance
and Damage, it is
Unspoken.

As the shadows grow opaque
And the mold beautiful
I still long to touch her skin.
