If only I was loved
by a pure, white dove.
If only being cared for
was as easy as opening the door.
If only reality
was like a show on TV.
If only my dreams
didn’t go to extremes.
If only life was easy
and not so achy.
Perhaps I wouldn’t want to die,
if only this all wasn’t a lie.
