Recalcitrant

First off, that title I stubbornly hold as one of my favorite words.  Then "Headed for oblivion / was oblivious."  It's the Ostrich Syndrome.  We're clinging to weapons of global destruction, and sooner or later they're going to be used.  The ostrich is going to get his ass blown off for not paying attention.  "So languid / Zero laudable act."  A little too relaxed.  Not making any commendable effort, contributing exactly nothing.  "Kinetic personality / Was sorry."  Maybe no stopping this high energy individual, but they don't know when to show some consideration or discretion.  If they do at all it's way too late, the damage being done.  Keep digging in your heels, McJay.  Excellent work!
