Congrats To The DC 9

I am not threatened by sexual identity  
that doesn't identify with mine
what concerns me more in the experiment called democracy  
is that we leave none of our citizens behind  
we should have love for all of our people  
and not be chained to outdated social norms
for the Founding Fathers did provide  
in the Constitution a path to reform  
is that couple both born of the same sex
really a threat to the way i live  
if anything they provide brilliance to the neighborhood  
a positive role model to give  
it can be a challenge being a single parent  
in these economically challenging times
but to say two men (or women) can't nurture a child  
requires a removal of logic in my mind  
paired with another court ruling  
I am proud to say the black robes got it right  
elephants stop the moaning and bitching  
and move on to another fight  
for popular sentiment has always said
that capitalism unchecked is too steep a hill  
and everyone because they are human  
should be given quality care when ill  
the nation of stars and stripes isn't perfect  
but I am convinced history's pen will see
that these court rulings show a small glimpse
of a bright and positive American reality
