Losers in Love
Am I the loser for writing?
Or are you the loser for reading?
Maybe we are both losers
For being in love with each other?
Oh, you don't love me?
And our desire for each other is only in my head?
I would believe you - if I wasn't such a loser.
I would believe you - if you told me you still come here to read these words
But you won't tell me... will you!!
Because that would confirm we are both losers
Losers for being in love
Losers for not being able to love.
I would accept that love
Because you need to know
That when we are apart
I'm thinking of you
I'm feeling you
It brings us together
Keeps us together
That when I write
You will read.
Tell me you read this...
And confirm
We are two losers
Two losers in love.
It's ok...
For it is
Forbidden love
And thus complicated.
Will it ever go anywhere with us?
Probably not.
That I know.
But I also know that when we least expect it
Life surprises us with beautiful gifts
And right now it has given me
Your presence in my life.
For what ultimate purpose?
I do not now.
But I accept it
Just for knowing you.
You are the reason the sun shines,
The birds sing,
The wind blows,
And the day ends.
So that tomorrow it can happen all over again.

Dear oh dear, why does love have to be complicated? It's not so much your love that's complicated but the circumstances that surround it. Favourite verse:
"You are the reason the sun shines,
The birds sing,
The wind blows,
And the day ends.
So that tomorrow it can happen all over again."
To be brutally honest with you, you should move on in my opinion to someone you can love properly, easier said than done of course. I can't know how deep the love is for you, only you can feel that.

Love is so complex when we try to reason it out yet so simple when we feel it. Another wonderful poem!
