Between the rain drops and my tears
In the midst of fear and what I hold dear
In the recurring memories
I turn to face my future.
And after the rain and my tears have fallen
The ground I stand on is wet and muddy
But I see a blade of green grass
I see hope and I see what it takes, to carry on
