Fought for a States right to Choose
The North Fought to Force
I honor their states rights creed
but not the issue chosen
.
You complain when you
loose your symbol of states rights
where were your complaints
when symbol was used for hate
long after the war ended

To me, There is only One Issue that needs to be handled at the local level, the Minimum Wage, But Even that needs to have Federal Guidelines to establish the Living Wage for each Region. (a National Poverty Line is Laughable when you have New York City, New York in the same country as Waycross, Georgia)
But I Can still respect the honor of those that fought on both sides of this war that divided the nation, and cost the lives of Americans on both sides of this Misguided War.
Even some of the Confederate Generals Believed that Slavery would die on its own soon... but they believed that each state had the right to decide on its own, and until the passage of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, they Did.
Today, you will see "My Country, Right or Wrong"
For the Confederates, it was "My State, Right or Wrong"
But I Can still respect the honor of those that fought on both sides of this war that divided the nation, and cost the lives of Americans on both sides of this Misguided War.
