The Raven

The Raven

The raven came to see me; she put a pebble in my mouth.
She told me that my heart was full of doubt.
I felt the cold embraces of her dead love,
As autumn leaves fell, she became a dove.
Her feathers were like rays of sunshine,
That melted death away, but deep inside she was still
A raven.
The raven took my fears, and flew into the night,
And the pebble that she left me became the rock that saved
My life.
