The Struggle to be worth breathing air
The Struggle to live without love
The Struggle to honor my wife
The Struggle to live without love

how much longer can I go on without
the simple feeling
of a loved one
held tight
in my arms
as i drift to dreams
or find my own way across the veil
.
finding ones self trapped between life and honor
is not exactly conducive to survival
find yourself a play partner
and let me find mine
.
i am tired of
dancing on the razors edge
you are not the only one that matters

The agony you express within your poetry is heart-rending. I would for you a different vista, other paths...
I know not the whole of your story, luv, and thus my reflections are based on spurious snippets of information gleaned at best. Yet, the feeling deep within me is that you are caught in much of detriment to you, that mayhap, things are not quite what they seem and even what they feel to you, luv. That there is more and less to this, by far...
I do not mean to be so cryptic with you; please forgive me. I simply hate to see such deep, sustained anguish as this, luv.
You write it surpassing well. Tis fine, fine poetry, luv, with cutting perspective and razored wisdom... :-*

Doll this is so delicate in melody. It has a fluttering effect in rhythym. Juxtaposed against the harsh knowlage that you just might be out of love and stuck. The struggle to honor my wife. Thats a soul filled line. Loved this. 💋

I've been on the other end of this. I know it makes people uncomfortable when they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around me...But knowing that I make people feel that way doesn't make it any easier for me to be the opposite.
