Love Seeks Darkness

†††
She lays on the grass in the darkness of night,
On a hill over looking the gates,
The fog here is thick and so very damp,
As it floats over their resting place...

She comes here to think and be close to her friend,
It is a place that she feels at peace,
For there is no one here that will judge her,
Because here they are all dead and deceased...

Passed on to another life she presumes,
However she talks to her just the same,
Knowing why her friend who lies there too,
Society is the one that she blames...

They were best friends for life, or were supposed to be,
So close they were bullied and hazed,
But her friend could no longer cope with the stress,
She was found in her room, hanging dead that day...

Now confusion and sorrow lives deep in her soul,
Even though it's the dark way of life,
They shared something special but now that is gone,
As her hand clutches the sharpened steel knife...

Tears stream down her pale white skin,
As she screams under the darkened black skies,
With no way to stop or cope with her pain,
She knows what she wants and that is to die...

The loneliness has her in total distress,
All of her dreams have now faded away,
The nights they spent in secret and alone,
They fell in love and life was never the same...

They were inseparable and whenever together,
It was like there was no one else alive,
But everything they had lived for,
Vanished the day that she died...

Now she picks up the knife and believes,
That in eternal darkness together they can be,
Without her there is nothing to live for,
She cuts and now starts to bleed...

She screams to her friend that she's coming,
And then as she begins to fade away,
Always and forever remember,
That falling in love is no game...

No one true will ever know,
If they lived in eternal peace,
But the love they shared was so special,
Even though they were just teens...

There is love to be sought even in darkness,
And you do not have to get there alone,
The two girls were in love,
And it was that love that called them home...
