Friend Protocol: Online
I never see the children anymore.
They're inside and connected
to faceless friends forever,
thriving as try-hards
through memory's space
and time zones vast.
Always the clever shooter
with a catchy catch phrase
to make them cringe,
or an irate Irishman
from beyond the pond
that makes them want
what they all want:
more friends.
Isn't that sweet?
