I'll Wait For You (Collaboration with Gg)
light,
Please encompass this darkness
That whisks its tail through the path
That separates me and her.
tides,
Please don't be angered
And dance slowly with yourself to moon music
So I may swim safely back to her.
rain
Please let the rains down
To extinguish these infernos
So they may not devour my soul.
time,
Please not torture her soul,
Go gently on her and kiss her
So I can remain changeless for her.
Passion,
Please don't die, live on,
Live long enough for me to see his face.
For his piercing eyes to assure me it'll be okay.
Loneliness,
Leave my spirit alone,
It is his to have, and to hold.
To care for and to love.
Anger,
Consuming me for this unnecessary war,
For them stealing my husband away from me,
Who are they to dictate who goes and stays.
Desire,
My body missing the touch of his skin,
The heat that kept my heart warm,
The passion that kept us together.
Miles
Let me find my way across those dark dales,
Past the black, swallowing waters
To swaying grasses
And her standing in them.
Salvation.
I will return
Fueled by your love,
I will overcome any obstacle just to see your beautiful smile
And hold you one last time "wait for me"
Drive,
I will hit the gas on my feelings,
Speeding into the tunnel of love,
The image of him walking through the door my fuel
Hope,
Awaiting his return,
I will hold down the fort he calls home.
Fighting a war to win our neverending happiness,
Just to kiss you one last time "I'll wait for you"

I found this poem randomly and I really like it. The words evoked images of the couple in my head...I recently read a story about a couple during WWII so this poem is really fitting. I'm glad I found it. Great job. :)
