Sick of the rain
I'm so sick of the rain
The mud is the thickest I've seen
I've learned my lesson
about testing the ground when it pours
I've been caught in the storm before
Straight lines are impossible
The waters' too high to jump in
I keep turning around;
I'm not trying it now!
I've been lost in the flood before
These clouds are so depressing
They've over-extended their welcome
They groan and complain and stay crying all day
I stay inside to stay out of their way
I've been struck by lightening before
I would appreciate the Sun about now
Although, I always complained before
"Stop shining so bright, you're drying me out!"
I need to watch what I say;
Surviving a drought beats floating away
--but maybe I shouldn't complain
The mud is the thickest I've seen
I've learned my lesson
about testing the ground when it pours
I've been caught in the storm before
Straight lines are impossible
The waters' too high to jump in
I keep turning around;
I'm not trying it now!
I've been lost in the flood before
These clouds are so depressing
They've over-extended their welcome
They groan and complain and stay crying all day
I stay inside to stay out of their way
I've been struck by lightening before
I would appreciate the Sun about now
Although, I always complained before
"Stop shining so bright, you're drying me out!"
I need to watch what I say;
Surviving a drought beats floating away
--but maybe I shouldn't complain
