A thugs wife.

Quiet and soft spoken, yet always alert.
Walking these sad and dangerous streets, prepared to be murked.

But that was my Eddie...

No smile, just mug, teeth slugged, ready to jug.
Two phones on him, second for the plug.
Blood stains on his sneakers, sitting by the rug.

But that was my Eddie...

Just my soldier, his heart continued colder, ask him who?
He'd point to me, and say "Her."
And for her, he was...
My Eddie, he did everything in his power to make our struggle better,
the come up from poly to leather.
He didn't call or show, he wanted to test her.
Money was illegal, but power was lethal.

But that was my Eddie...

Nothing he ever did was right, but I never told him wrong.
Although I knew it wouldn't last too long.
We'd argue, we'd fight, hell, we'd be up every night, with no sleep.
No sleep no eat.

That was my Eddie,
always hungry for more, desperate to rise from those dirty floors.
Guns loaded and loud, I was still proud, because that was my Eddie!!
His kisses would send crazy chills down my spine, crazy in love.
And all of that was mine
