Permissory moon
I strive for the darkened spread
of this nights' whimsy Moon,
'want Maiden wrapped around me
a shield, of earth and tune.
Forever the ardent stranger,
I beg macrocosms' seed.
Bid thee 'Rise up.. hard and tall'..
that I might slow-dance
'mongst the brambled-weed.
Vinous plied over thorny,
sacrificed in harness-bleed.
My hips pattern a salutation
and I kiss it to the breeze.
In totality, a curse of verse
as I feel Her reigning down,
weak paroxysm in parody
of granted wishing sounds.
Placid now, nerve enters calm,
wounds scab over history.
I on knee of wizened rock
piercing slight these tender feet.
On winding path with ancient staff
it has been bled driest this night,
As bold moon winks in perfect favor
and scuttles clear out of sight.
