if i could, my love, id hold you close forever...but youre walking away..into the shadows of distance and im still here in the half-light of our lost love... i may walk the light to you, you may not want to bring me into your darkness, but i find the shadows comforting, i find it easier to sleep in the oppressive embrace of darkness. i find it easier to be myself... but i dont know how to get there... youre gone from me, much to my dismay, youve left me because its too much for you.. i might not be worth it entirely so i dont complain...but i do wish youd try to keep us.. but do as you wish, my love, because youre young...if i coud, my love, id keep you close...
