Quivering from shivered lips
to numb toes
Standing in an open sea
Looking into the abyss that sheltered me
Walking out on liquid salt from both ends of the earth
Praying for dear god to lift me from this dirt
Dust under eyelids for an unclear view
Fingers in the ears to prevent the most recent news
Palm over mouth to prevent the words wanting to be spoken
Silencing a good little girl to keep her pretty mouth shut
