Don't Fear the Night
Some shuffle their feet
Trying to slow the inevitable journey to our destination
Staring at the ground
Trying to avoid watching what presides over most
The sun and moon dancing opposite each other like partners in a waltz
Replacing each other in the sky
Their dance rules our lives
The changing of night and day
Taken for granted
Yet a rule never broken
Except by some
I dare you to question boundaries
I dare you to break the barrier
Welcome the replacement of light into dark
Don't fear the night

I think the metaphor of the Sun and the Moon is strong, a great personification of two forces in our lives that do happen to dictate almost unintentionally what we do and when. Great poem, thoroughly enjoyed, could relate.
