Unjustifiable

Make someone you love your target
So you have an excuse to be cold and heartless
It doesn't matter how far it gets
They must understand and just accept
They should lay back and take the damages
It's their role to deal with emotional mismanagement
Verbal punching back a task they should embrace
Even when those tears come streaming down their face
It's only words so they'll recover just fine
At least you're not physical, well ok, not this time
As long as they just listen things shouldn't escalate
You'll fix it after with "I love you's" and all will be great
They should not think once to put up any kind of fight
Of course you're entitled and of course this behaviour is right
They belong to you so they should not talk back
You just need someone to attack

And when it's all said and done the sweet love can be shared
Feelings of the heart sincere deeply declared
Because this is what love is and what it should be about
It's not your fault you have painful emotion to let out
Their understanding is amazing and connects you oh so deep
As deep as the scars you've left from the utterances you speak
But why would you even think they were left hurting when you were left smiling
Convenient life it must be to only exist inside your mind
Human beings are not objects and should never be used as such
Verbal effects are just as lasting as physical ones
No excuse for treating someone like they're less than what you are
Some behaviour is unjustifiable and goes way too far
