Walk Through the Night
He walks through the night, alone, with no light
so quiet, heading home, storm & thunder in sight
in his own zone, his soul is like a cyclone, flee or fight
step by step climbing the stepping stone, wrong or right
caught in a web, no lying, feel a fiend filled with fright
look at the skies, and wonder why shit is so tight
why problems don’t disappear when out of sight
a solitary soul seek comfort in sin, start to recite
take a pen and- write- with capital letters; GOODNIGHT
Dear Self, what happened, it is so sad and strange
we used to be so close, but now we are so estranged
praying for a change, while the situation derange
this the story of the stranger you pass on the street
because you see the façade, but rarely what’s beneath
it hurt, how no one really heard, the little girl
cuz under the dirt you’ll find a precious pearl
deserve better than this, so give her a whirl
deserted destinies lost & lonely in this world
