a wave goodbye,a silent kiss
lashes with tears
promises to hold on
no matter what
for this the song was sang
a baby crying, smiling parents
cuddles at night and tears
at sunrise
is a single candle able
to light love till dawn
for this
a great love
tears at his chest
claws at her heart
they cry inside
what rip them apart
their love too great
that it became selfish
sacrifices made
means nothing then
there is a bell ringing
for whom does it toll
the love like old rice
on the parish hall
or a meaningless cymbal
For this
the heart bleed
for this
love dying on the vine
treasures lost in selfishness.

I think one of the whole points to love is letting go of the self when taking the hand of another. If one can't do that to a great extent then love isn't possible. Just words. Selfishness is fatal.

I don't know what to say about this one that I haven't said about your other works. All these verses (especially the third one) seem to make references to actual aspects of my life. "For This" is my life. Thank you, Grace.
