Between Scylla and Charybdis
Broken and half past dead
Left to bleach in the burning sun
Veins dry from the blood bled
I'm giving up, I'm fucking done
I gasp for one final breath
You demand the moon and stars
I've given 'til nothing is left
All I've got left is my scars
The kiss still burns
Inside this chrysalis
The mists obscures
Songs of Charybdis
Promises broken now
For what seems like eons ago
Storms crashing on the bow
Fighting against the undertow
Suffering another death
Jagged knives lacerate scars
You've taken 'til nothing is left
Empty except for the stars
Your roses burn
A proficient killer
The mists obscures
The claws of Scylla
My choices made
I have succumbed to this
Faithless in the face
Stuck between torture and true bliss
The pursuit is trivial
Between Scylla and Charybdis
My shame demands
Recompense
For those past deeds
Heinous and cruel
Which road leads to
The end of the line
For good or ill?
There are monsters inside
Worse than the creatures without
A seed planted in my
Black heart begins to scream and shout
Upon paths, the burning quest

Numerous movements of delight & wonder... Rather drawn out & a bit broken in places. Has it's relevance though the stumbling makes it a chore to read thru. Keep Grindin CAOS737

Thank you for the praise and critique. It's funny, I was just thinking of this piece earlier. I was at the laundromat and the place was packed with screaming kids. Maybe this poem is actually about doing laundry, lol.
