The Future of this Poem
We live to leave impressions upon the earth
that will one day no longer be worth finding.
Impressions that will have the sole purpose of
teaching and learning what no longer matters.
We live with the false theory that we are
worthy enough to have the potential
to become more than dinosaur fossils.
We live hoping to be more than we are.
