Hades Rises

Dead eyes stare blankly, empty and void
As bodies molder beneath the soil
Do the answers lay before them
When judgment condemns the mortal coil?

Who knows if the depths await or paradise
For men of lies and the barbaric?
Now in the grip of those long since lost
You must pay the cost to cross the river mine

Pomegranate and demon seeds
Gives birth to the legend
I see souls of joy and greed
Savoring the madness
Joyous tears and screams that rent

May I dare to wish upon a fallen star?
Come, what dreams are made from growing tears
The wailing years, weighing down the soul
When consuming holes devour, black and scarred

When we embrace at the equinox
Our hearts entwine like vine in a box
When the moon and sun collide
The gods moan their despair behind locks

The name is more than a namesake
I have become the one
Fear not, but embrace the snake
Savoring the darkness
In shades of black ‘neath the sun

What man fears rests under the dirt
A world of torment, desire and hurt
The monster inside craves for release
Bringing mortality down to its knees

Deconstructing the spoken word
Turning the screams of hate and set to burn
I, Lucifer, one and the same
As split tongues spit venom from the flames

The ties that bind
Become undone
Reality
Twisted with scorn
Celestials
Become unborn
Join me down paths
Seldom traveled

I walk alone
In solitude
Twisted thorns and
Insanity
Behind pale moon
In bloodshot eyes
Midnight’s here and
Hades will rise
