it's either a really awesome thing or a sign of a problem when they know exactly how you take it.

lol ... I love it when I'm remembered like that ... It saves time and is somehow oddly reassuring that someone knows just what you need even when you're at your worst.

when i lived in a city, my local barista KNEW me. he could tell by my clothes and the look on my face what i needed. guy trouble, something a little sweet. black clothes and laptop in tow, americano. puffy eyes, double shot. he was good! and it was comforting.
now i live in a town with NO COFFEE SHOPS and it is brutal. good thing i make good coffee.

People like that are a rare gift ... What's more those select few take great pride in adding that extra pep to other people's day ... They are true angels.
Maybe you should open a shop in that little town.

It's caring. and it comes natural. There is also an element of taking you for granted that is comforting. Obviously, there is much more to your poem that what is stated. I somehow missed out reading your poems and i need to make amends.

I must agree there are those that seem to have a natural affinity for helping others - when sitting in a restaurant or cafe they make it seem as if they've let you into their home.

Short and potent. Credit on the creativity. I was dragged in right from the title.
