Sleeping

You're happy here,
Your shine strains my sight,
Try with all my might,
But I'm blinded by the light.

I can hear you,
Singing your glorious song,
Nothing is ever wrong,
Singing your song...

Keep your voice down,
If you find my resting place,
Don't let me lose the look,
Etched across her face,
Don't drag me away,
From this beautiful place.

You're healthy here,
A beat that cannot be bashed out of tune,
From destruction and pain you are now immune,

Listen, children,
Can you hear the song?
Listen to your mother's voice,
She won't be here for long,

Keep your voice down,
If you find my resting place,
Don't let me lose the look,
Etched across her face,
Don't drag me away,
From this beautiful place.

Don't deprive the children,
Of their mother's song,
If you wake me up,
Then they will all be gone.
