Stars Uncrossed.
From the very first moment. Our
Paths led to the same garden. My
Flowers bashed and broken, yours
Barely holding on. But they
Grew together.
In that very first moment.
It seemed impossible that we’d
Become one. Endless searching never
Yielded such treasure, only buried
Residue of feelings less felt. But
We were guided not by map, as
Once thought, but by soul.
Lips closed, hearts opened, and
Stars became uncrossed.
Both so brazen, so battered
Until barely recognizable as
Beings able to perceive the vicious
Cling of adoration. So cold
That cracks formed in our hearts
From heat never before bestowed.
Life found life again.
The future seems so much
Closer, now that the scattered
Remnants of our souls have
Blissfully arranged themselves
Back into a beautiful mosaic.
The world belongs to us.
In that very first moment,
Stars became uncrossed.
Life found life again, and
The world now belongs to
Us.
