Red Saturday

Halt the hassled life
to recall a promise kept

For all year have feelings
for the other slept

A ring you couldn't afford
if it wasn't for her

One once made of pixels
finds its way to a finger

Flirtation and conversation
over a dinner so robust

An investment made in love
transmuted into lust

An open box of wrappers
calories disregarded

Early eve curtains close
and are not to be parted
