silly girl

silly girl who felt death under her skin and confused it for life.

played with no caution.

she turned her back to his demons- yet loved them with every breath and every stitch like she had to cover up the gapping hole in her soul from the morning when death crawled threw her bones and took a piece of her to the other side- some call that losing your mind.

her blessings were all tragic but they taught her to be tuff.

heart skin callused and glowing.

she's invisibo yet seen, like the colors that dance behind your eyes, bittersweet like a piece of apple stuck in your teeth. she's in love with his heart beat. how it's so unique- how the pills change the rythme and even though shes on top of him- he's never held down. she calls him her free bird.

and she cries cuz her wings wont stop bleeding, yet everyone around her says shes just seeing things. so she takes off- soaring, she still sees the blood.

it's raining down on all the doubters and she catches herself thinking it's the most beautifulest thing she's ever seen, her wings crying the blood of the product of their love.

never said out loud, so pure it was all energy. soul vibrations over vocal.

that rattling in her chest, it's the fuel in her flight and suddenly she starts to think about his bed and it hits her from above like a pillowcase of bricks- you cant follow a free bird- a free bird has to want to build a nest. memories like a cork stopping the blood rain and she lands hilltop in a chunk of land she's never seen before yet know she belongs. as she breathes in the energy around her, she turns to run down the hill to explore but is stopped by a man who seems so familiar yet she knows she's never seen him before and he asks

"where'd you fly in from, free bird?"

with a tearful chuckle she answers

"I'm from a world of dreams and i think i just woke up"
